Back into the light
I love the way the sun shines
The touch of the cool breeze passing by
The silvery moon light
Cutting its way into the night
This is the way it has always been
The cup of life with a golden sheen
With blessings of loved ones all around
How blissful the music of life sounds
But I’ve been in a forest, lost
Seeking the glory at a great cost
Walking on a path which skillfully misguides
Blinded by a fog that never subsides
But I’ve found a way back into the light
The place where it is all nice and bright
All the negativity rotting in hell
This is “the” tale I gotta tell.

Long way to go…
Sitting in front of a PC
Three hours of trauma
Pressing keys on a keyboard
Staring at a monitor
My eyes going sore
My brain going drowsy
My limbs going numb
My senses going blurry
But I got a lab to attend
And preserve energy for another lecture
To stay alive
Amidst all that pressure
Imagine four years of such a life
Living it out each day
I take a break from it
Just enough to pray
But they say its just a start
Brace yourself for the next part
But they do give hope and say
You proceed to heaven once you graduate from this hell
And this is something I’ve heard
A gazzillion times
Every day of school
Every day of college
Still I believe it every time I hear it
‘Coz I know one thing for sure
God has kept me alive so far
So there’s a long way to go.
